If it doesn't look like a good movie, I won't watch it. I don't care if it's all women, men, or Mylars as long as it looks good I don't mind dropping cash.

Its not about whats happened its about taking a movie thats not even that old in oceans 11

Although I agree with the sentiment of your post, I feel I should point out that Ocean's Eleven is pretty old.

These movies are kind of an insult to women. Usually they are stories that could be original, but they've been shoehorned into a pre-existing male lead-driven franchise. There's no reason, outside of trying to pull of a money grab with an established property, an Ocean's Eleven style heist flick could be done with a female cast and branded as its own, independent franchise.

Just wait for it to tank at the box office and it'll stop. One thing that can stop this PC bullshite is that people can't be forced to hand over their money in a free market society for shitbombs like this Cuntbusters movie...yet.

Who gives a frick. Once they realize that these movies aren't profitable, they won't make more. And if they are profitable, they made the right business decision. For as much as people on here complain about their rights being abused, people sure do complain a lot about the entertainment industry of all doing what they want with their property.

free marketers bitching about a corporation making a business decision with their property is utterly mystifying.

Let them waste the producers money and they'll go away. Problem will be for all the betas that get drug to see and pay for them.

Not at all. The Clooney version was itself a remake of a 1960 Rat Pack film. A lot of movies are direct remakes, or indirect remakes (hence the jokes about seeing it when it was called __________).

So why would it be weird/bad to have a remake with hottie actresses pulling the heist? That would be cool.

For Ghostbusters, I would be pissed for anyone rebooting it since it was a childhood classic to me.

For Ocean's 11, I don't mind it as much but why not get creative and not reboot and instead create new characters with a new story.

I don't mind the feminism shite movies but at least just develop new ideas instead of playing off recycled ideas to sell tickets off of names. It is like women's athletics that complain about inequality when they can't survive without donated money and living off their male counterparts.
