Do you ever wonder if there are macro forces / trends at work controlling us

more than we realize?
For example, consider how the birthrate appears to decline in affluent countries (we are seeing this in the West). People lament this and worry about declining populations but maybe this is how things are supposed to happen to create balance and we just don’t understand it?
Birthrate isn’t really what this thread is about, just an example.

Imagine people being fiscally responsible and not reproducing out of carelessness and having to have their off springs supported by other people.
This post isn't about uncontrolled births.

I feel like it's that way with weather too. Records show there tends to be years where the weather is hotter/colder than normal then reverts back down... I dunno. Thats just what i feel like. I get the whole global warming paranoia but I believe its also due in part to the cyclical nature of the weather

No, people like to believe that there’s some nefarious entity (Illuminati, Bilderberg, etc) out there pulling the strings. For that is more comforting than the other side of the coin. That side of the coin being this whole thing is all random.

Its actually worse than that. Affluent families within affluent countries are having a major decline in births, while the majority of new births are coming to families on public assistance and without the means to support them.

The same people screaming about population declines are the same ones telling us robots are gonna take over. Well if population is declining then robots will need to step up.

Yep, because affluent families are better with finances. They know they cannot afford to have a lot of kids because they are expensive. They are expensive because the government is subsidizing all these families without the means who have far too many.
Any time the government subsidizes something it becomes too expensive except for the people getting it for free.

Every year that passes by I'm starting to believe more and more int he simulation hypothesis. All of our reality is a computer simulation. Whenever we experience Deja Vu, it is in fact a glitch in the simulation.

It sounds like you’ve had too much to think! Better donate some money to Israel!
