re: Do you dream?

A few nights ago I dreamed that I started having pretty major health problems. I went to the hospital, and they ended up admitting me for tests. The doctor came in the next day and told me that the tests showed that I was slowly being poisoned by someone close to me. I woke up before the dream was resolved.
The next morning I told my wife about it, and I literally saw the light bulb come on over her head.

I can dream within seconds of going to sleep. It doesn't have to be a deep sleep.
Also if I get a charlie horse in the night, it starts off as a dream about getting one and then it happens.

I think it reversed or so it is with me. Think about it.

So you are a wizard and can tell the future?

I have had the experience of deceased family and friends visiting me in my dreams. It's a bitter sweet experience. I'm happy to feel their presence again but miss them terribly when I wake up, almost like they just died again.

Yes but unfortunately the State of Alabama and Liberals still exist.

That makes more sense.

Yes, lucid dreamer, sometimes sleep paralysis, wet dreams (female), but this morning's "dream within a dream" was the most fascinating.
I dreamt I was in my room, falling asleep, then secondarily dreaming in that dream that I was in my house, but everything was "off" (kitchen on the wrong side, laundry room in a different place, cat, instead of dog. My SO was not the right person and I would start to freak out to wake myself from the second dream, and wake back in the first, and fall right back "asleep".) Had the 2nd level dream about 6 times, it feeling more awful each time, because everyone I encountered in the "off" version of my house didn't understand why I was so scared. When I awoke each time in the 1st dream, I felt panicked, but kept falling back in to the 2nd dream state.
It was a very trippy experience.
I mostly focus on the settings of the dreams, while dreaming. If I start to think about a past dream, many other dream memories come flooding back. It is like watching a very strange movie. Most of my dreams are frightening.

Dream, and remember lots of them. I'm always younger and healthier. Sometimes I'm climbing, jumping, running, playing team sports, going to college. Stuff I really haven't done for years. I think my dreams may be better than my reality. Can't wait to get to bed!
I have a recurring dream about losing my car. It's usually me meeting someone for lunch. We go our separate ways and I spend the rest of the day looking for my car.

No, Rouge, I just don't meet many girls who have experienced this so I just thought I was weird (I am).
This morning's version of Inception was the most I have ever experienced that kind of layering in a dream. During the secondary dreaming, I had to say things like "But we don't own a cat!" to get out of the 2nd level. It was like being in the upside down, but less sinister, although I was a little freaked out.

I don't remember many dreams
Probably for the best. My subconscious might not be the best place to hang out.

No comment, because I like you.
Scariest are the sleep paralysis dreams, for the dreamer. I have had many fricked up dreams, that would make for interesting posts, but the most terrifying is when you feel like you are awake, being suffocated by something evil, can't move or scream and wake up in complete terror.
Not ashamed to admit I have slept with a light on after waking from a dream.
The best dreams are a good experience, where you remember a random name of a non-existent person, but go google just in case, because there was something that felt meaningful. And it's always in precise detail - a full name you don't know, an address that doesn't exist. Those are the happier ones.

I had a bout of sleep paralysis back in 2008 when I moved from NOLA to Metairie. Lasted about 6 months. Some of the more unnerving shite I have ever encountered.

Has happened to me before but it has been years since the last time. i have always wondered if it is purely a dream or if you just in a light sleep and can't wake up. It is scary as hell. Only a few times have I been able to move and force myself to wake up.

frick that, I have only had a handful and they were terrible. I can't imagine parents who have children with night terrors or sleepwalking. Scary and creepy. I am not religious, but "if" there is something out there, I feel like children, pets and the subconscious are the most able to perceive it.
