Do you clean your ears with Q-tips?

The other day I was bored and read on the box you shouldn’t clean your ears with them. What else can you use to do the job as well as a q-tip?

Pretty much the only thing I use them for.

Yeah a box lasts me years because that is all I’ve ever used them for as well.

Yes. I know it's horrible for your ears and I have had my ears cleaned by a doctor so I know it's true it causes buildup

They should be illegal. They don't have any other use. They scrape and damage the sensitive ear canal, pack in ear wax and cause tons of infections especially in kids. Adults ears are scarred up from them by then
In normal situations excess earwax should fall out on its own and not build up. Q-tips create the problem. And they will never get the packed earwax
You should use debrox or have a doctor do a warm water flush a few times to get that packed stuff and then never use them again

Shoving a Q-tip inside your ear does nothing but pack the wax further down inside. Cleaning inside of the ear doesn't mean inside the ear canal.

Q-tips work great for cleaning your ears. They're the best thing to use.

A doctor will clean out your ears? What kind of doctor? ENT? And I call and make an appointment specifically to have my ears cleaned out?
