How many of you ballers carry coins in your pockets?

I was talking to a guy today at the doc's office and he told me he never carries coins in his pocket as they are filthy and full of germs. I asked him what he does it he gets coin change from a purchase and he said that he doesn't accept it, tells the cashier to keep it. I asked him about paper money and he said that he rarely used it, uses plastic.

I refuse to carry change. Nasty stuff.

Virtually everywhere accepts plastic.

Do you disinfect your credit cards? Because you give that to strangers on occasion. Waiter may swipe his crack with it

My sons take the change I put on my dresser and put it in their piggy banks. Once they get full, we take the change to the bank and they put it in the machine to get the cash. Usually end up with 50-60 dollars or so between the 3 of em.

I think germaphobes are more susceptible to diseases than people who handle cash, drink tap-water, use shopping carts, etc. One builds up their immunity by being exposed to a non-sterile lifestyle.

At least we still have dollar bills. The damned Brits’ smallest paper note is 5 pounds. And the one and two pound coins are about twice as heavy as a quarter. You can end up weighted down with coins in a hurry.

Some Americans were, a few years ago, floating around the idea of doing away with the dollar bill. Don’t let this happen.

Canada has those 1 and 2 dollar coins. At the end of a night of bar hoping I had like 3 lbs of coins in my pocket

- On my dresser
- In a compartment in my car
- in a whiskey bag I carry in my golf bag for small bets

Change is annoying.

I carry dimes to tip the person making my coffee or taking my order at a counter service restaurant. Hobos get the nickels.

you could’ve easily spent those looneys and tuneys instead of continuing to use paper. That seems more like a user error

This has to be the case, right?

I mean don't go overboard and start licking everything, but just expose your system to a steady drip of day to day germs. Stay clean, not sterile.

I pay 90% of everything I buy with cash (groceries, eating out), so yes, I often have a little change in my pocket.
