I was in a bad part of town in new orleans late at night pumping gas. Had a bro approach me asking for change. He didn't try anything, but I sure did feel uncomfortable.

So do you carry anything for self-defense?

would you have drawn a gun on an unarmed man asking for change, or would being armed make you less afraid?

How come the super honest net income thread got whacked? That was going well in my opinion.

at the number of people who are ready to shoot the homeless guy who just wants something to eat. You're all OT ballers, would it be so bad to spare a dollar to someone who honestly needs it more than you...

But the way I deal with the situation, if someone unknown approaches me. First step remain calm, don't ever show fear or that you look uncomfortable. Mind your own business, but at the same time, ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings. If it is just a beggar, Sorry man I don't have any spare change.

100% incorrect, calmness will get you killed. If your immediate instinct is to panic then you should follow that instinct and follow it hard. Panic like there's no tomorrow, because if you don't panic hard enough, there might not be.

I disagree, panicking gets you killed. By panicking you can escalate a situation to something it was never supposed to be. Never panic. Just make good and wise decisions.

Two six shooters in underarm holsters, .380 on my right ankle, pocket knife in back pocket, trench knife on left ankle, knife belt buckle, and I always walk with my keys sticking out between my fingers.

Sounds pretty good if you're going to church, but you'll need serious heat to enter the hood
