I try to park at the furthermost parking spot, right against the concrete curb.
Many times I come back to my car and the person who parked next to me has their tires on the yellow line (or over it), right next to me.
People are shitty. They care about no one else. Give them an inch, they will take a mile.

I mean I don't expect you to sit and wait at my car for hours to speak to me about it (unless it's that bad). I expect it to happen now and again. I'm sure I've done it in my life to someone. But if it happens and I'm there, I'd expect you to be apologetic and willing to take some responsibility. If the paint isn't cut, you can get those removed for under $100 a lot of the time.
