All it requires is for them to be "real" is extreme cognitive dissonance, on the part of humans, to look past the absence of any bones, dead bodies, specimens shot or trapped by humans, or trail came photos. Then they're real in people's minds.

I believe in aliens, since the universe is immensely and unimaginably massive, but yeah I don't think the unlabeled objects people see flying around occasionally are ships with little aliens in them. I believe in aliens but not in the occultist sense.

Same. Based on the scale of the universe and what we know about the frequency of habitable planets, there must be life out there. Now do I think that said life, if they were capable of bridging light years of space would do so in little ships and when they got here they'd just zip around the atmosphere in them, for humans to see, occasionally crashing? No. If they were capable enough to be able to get here they could do so completely unseen, and more than likely not in person. They would send a probe that wouldn't be detected, or they'd have some way to view us remotely that we can't even comprehend yet. But they wouldn't be silly amateurs flying around in what are little better than our airplanes.

No, it's not. HUMANS, who know what game cameras are, aren't able to avoid them, even when engaging in criminal activity and on the watch for them. Even if they are smarter than game animals, or heck, even as smart as humans, based on their pre-stone age lifestyle, they would be unable to grasp what a game camera is, much less avoid them, which as I have stated already, humans can't do when they try.

bigfoot is the one thing i've always had this major hope that it is real

All you need to know about Bigfoot being fake is all the specials on tv in 2016 and yet we still can't get video or pictures of it. Then again, maybe that's the lore of it because if we did see it, people probably wouldn't watch anymore.
As for ghosts, I'm a big fan of the paranormal but much like Bigfoot, I've yet to see conclusive evidence that they do indeed exist.

And a little while later he posted and said that he had taken one picture of it, but that they weren't staying around for any longer than that, or something like that.

Kill it, Take a photo of it, and Facebook/Instagram and away we go! All the proof in the world. I would have book deals lined up and possibly a move deal. I would make up an entire story with very minute details of having tracking this beast for years to profit.
