Our 35th at the end of this month, and we haven't bought gifts for 20 + years.

We have never exchanged gifts for anniversaries. Seems like a waste of money. I get her flowers and we try to do dinner but that's it. She blows me for longer I guess.

I have spent more on toilet paper for her than any one gift I could possibly buy

No. We don't do anniversary gifts period. We may go out to dinner and a movie but we just don't do gifts. We buy what we want throughout the year and exchange gifts at Christmas.

Wife got "me" a pair of Saints season tickets for our 1 yr in '05. She didn't realize they would be the gift that kept giving but I let her know as soon as she gave them to me.

EDT: 1 year is the paper gift... I think I got her a card.

Nope, we don't do anything conventional. For our last anniversary my wife got me a stripper pole. I got her a Lexus.

Not traditional, we try to purge each other every year. Hopefully this year one of us will win.

Who says that I'm not the one dancing for her?

Also, sorry you're a prude.

We don't usually do gifts for our anniversary. We usually try to take a weekend trip somewhere each year so that is our gift to each other.

We just celebrated our 5th and didn't go anywhere...so instead went out for a really nice dinner somewhere locally.

I did get him a gift our 1st anniversary and followed the "paper" rule. Framed our vows(I still had the actual paper scrolls we had read off to one another at our ceremony) with a wedding picture.
