The tv coverage of the parade is awful. I used to enjoy it as a kid and tried to watch with my kids. It's now just more network tv stupidity with a parade thrown in every few minutes. Someone needs to set up a straight feed.

No. Once upon a time they just marched holding the ropes of colorful giant balloons. There was no shilling for preteen pop idols or the latest network sitcom.

They also lip synched on American Bandstand It broke my heart. Up til i figured that out, I always wondered how they were able to sing the song exactly like the song recorded on the album.
