Psychedelics aren't really "getting high." Sure, lots of kids do it to get fricked up and weird, but there are others who do it for what is essentially a religious experience. Psilocybin mushrooms are actually used in Native American religions. I won't go in depth with my beliefs in a place like this, but to put it into perspective the question you're asking is sort of like asking a Christian if they're willing to risk their career just to go to church. To some of us, at least.

I had a "friend" who played piano for 6 straight hours without a break while shroomin. On top of that, my "friend" played the same song over and over and over per request from other partiers. Odd thing is that the same song sounded a bit different each time.
