Do schools still let kids dress up as Indians for themes?

Another thread brought this idea to my head.

I remember wearing feathers on my head as a kid for events like Thanksgiving. Does this still happen or is it considered racist?

More like they will scream "cultural appropriation" or some other bs.

Last year on Science Day, my youngest girl went to school dressed as Kalpana Chawla, the Indian-American astronaut who died on the Space Shuttle Columbia. Nobody tried to stop her.

We need to pass a law removing harmful stereotyping of Indians. It should also remove Indians from marketing campaigns and remove them from being athletic mascots. Maybe we can call it the Indian removal act?

When you sit down and cross your legs you can't even call it Indian style anymore.

I have pics of mine dressed up like an Indian for some school function when she was maybe 5-6. I'm going to hold onto them in case I ever need to cancel her.

I assume the wooden Cigar Store Indian will fall out of public favor as well. And i wouldn’t be surprised if Seinfeld pulled the episode where Kramer obtains one.

Which is RIDICULOUS, since “Indian Style” comes from the Indian people, in India, via the Brits

Had nothing to do with Native Americans or whatever they want to be called.

It’s still Indian style to me
