It may not look like it, but there are tons of things going on than just filling RXs like Answering phone calls, trying to get refills for patients, getting ahold of DR offices to correct RX mistakes, etc.

Nobody said it was easy. But waiting on me at the window or counter is little miss attitude who can’t be bothered and is only able to inform me that they can’t locate my meds or they aren’t ready despite what the system says. And she does all this without any concern for the reality that I had to go out of my way to pick this up. I am busy too. I planned my trip due to poor information. So why not give me some good customer service? Don’t piss down my back and then tell me it’s raining.

I'm not complaining at all. It's paying the bills while I finish school. Just letting others know there are problems as to why your stuff isn't ready right on the spot. Can't speak for an automated ready reminder. I agree. That sucks. But I don't control that. I just know I go in and try to be as efficient as possible bc I know it's a hassle for people to wait.

Man I forget how fricking cool everyone is on the OT.

And we've found the problem, as I pointed out earlier.

Corporate institutes a system that is supposed to make the customer more informed. Yet doesn't give the control of properly informing the customer to the right people, or creating the system to properly inform the customer when the script is ready.

And I’m not putting all the blame on you guys and gals in the pharmacy. I also understand that ignorant people are pulling up without any information to drop off and expect to immediately receive the meds. They sit in line like they are going to wait it out while you slide the pills in a bag. Tell those people to come back when they get a message and let the people who have received the message pick up their stuff.

Also, how about the people who go to the inside counter with their groceries and then want to check out in the pharmacy LOL

So yeah, I get that customers can screw the process up too.

I also remember a guy at Walgreens in the outside lane telling the girl at the window how to spell his last name. She could not get it. Started with a z. He says, “z” as in xylophone. I almost fell out of my car.

I always hit the button as soon as I pull up. Isn’t there a sign that says “push for service”? I thought that’s how it’s done

See, to me, thats more rude than waiting for a minute or so.

When you pull up to a window and dont see anyone because they're working in the back is the equivalent of wlaking up with a cart full of groceries and sitting at the line while their employee is stocking shelves. Are they working? Yes. Is it shitty customer service to not immediately serve someone when they're there and ready while you do another task? Yes. Its common sense.

This is the main problem for slowing down the pickup line. People that come with no information ready for us. We never let them sit in line when they drop off. Always tell them to come back lol

I'd be in a bad mood if I had to work in a pharmacy too

ETA: and avoid chains like Walgreens and CVS if you want good service from a pharmacy

In Ruston, Walgreens North of I-20 is where us ballers go, and get great service. Never have waited behind more than a couple of cars. Usually just pull up with no wait.

I pick up my parent's scripts at Super One, and always have long waits. Usually the fourth, or fifth car in line. I think half of the population of Ruston folks their scripts at Super One. They have the same amount of employees for four to five times more customers.

I’m not entirely sure they know someone pulls up until you ring the bell. Like expecting someone to open their front door for you without knocking to let them know you are there

Walgreens is the worst. One counter girl pulled in five different ways at the same time.
