GMO has made the entire wheat species damn near indigestible. Corn is nothing but sugar now. Good intentions do not equal the best for us. When food stops being food, I have a problem with that.

if they are putting something covering cross pollination adn setting standards of planting in their contracts and going after folks who violate them then i don't see a problem. if they are going after somebodies neighbor who never bought their seed but his crops were pollinated then yeah, thats effed up.

yup, it's why large corporations support big government. they can cover all the bull shite costs associated with regulation but the small guys trying to start up can't

Pretty sure some farmers got in a shitton of trouble and sued out of existence by Monsanto from following the normal farming practice of saving some seed to use the next year because the GMO’s are patented and stipulated as a single use seed.

How about if we stopped growing food for fuel and cut out the soy.

Wait...this is probably the wrong crowd for that.

FYI - GMO wheat is not commercially grown. The wheat we have today came from conventional crossbreeding.

The libtards are too stupid to realize that without GMOs we can not produce enough food to feed the world. Forget what it would cost, We need GMOs to survive

I watched something on 60 mins awhile back and it was about this group at MIT that people have to apply to get into. It's funded by several big corporations...

Anyway, they are able to create the exact environment in order to grow stuff. There is a certain place that is perfect for growing tomatoes.. They are about to create that environment so that they can grow the best tomatoes. It was a huge greenhouse and all the plants were in this tube thing where they are allowed to set the environment.. So they can build one of these facilities in the middle of the dessert and grow just about anything..

I grasp that technology will continue to evolve and it will fix some of the problems people are concerned about.

So we can spend more money on something else we don’t really need but desperately want and think is critical to life.

It’s all relative. In the end, you spend money on what’s most important to you. If video games are more important you’ll spend your money on video games and eat bullshite food. If food is more important to you, you’ll eat better food and pass on video games.
