Is PC or Apple a better choice for college?

If studying music or graphic design, go with the Mac. If using for MATS or business courses of study, then go with the PC.

What school? LSU is pretty much a Microsoft shop so a Mac or a Chromebook will take some effort or a little knowledge to navigate. Google classroom is gaining popularity so Chromebooks make sense for some schools. I bought both of mine Lenovo yoga laptop tablets…

Big fan of IBM, though I know Lenovo technically isn’t that anymore.

Can probably get by with some sort of tablet and keyboard.

Isn't your kid on scholarship? Sun Belt Billy won't even give them laptops?

I went to college in ancient times 20 years ago - I'm sure it's a completely different animal now. Laptops were still pretty rare then.

Tablet and keyboard until they're in a point in a specific major that requires a specific software, i.e. certain engineering and photo/video shopping majors.

Yea, the only requirements I’m seeing are for specific ‘colleges’ associated with your major…even interior design has requirements.
