Do I have to cancel Obamacare coverage if policy ends Dec. 31?

Switched from Obamacare to new health insurance through work and it kicks in/ends Dec. 31/Jan. 1 and I'm wondering if there is something I need to do to cancel the insurance I had.
Since it's a new year and a new policy if I just don't do anything to renew it does that ultimately end my coverage with BCBS of Texas, or is there something I need to do to cancel it?
I've looked around on the BCBS patient portal and haven't seen a cease coverage button or anything. I paid my premium for December so I'd assume I'm fine, but I feel like I may need to actually cancel coverage somehow.

No. Reenrollment each year is required for renewal. Enrolling in another plan, and not paying the obamacare premium, will cancel the policy.

I was required to call and cancel otherwise it would have auto-renewed into 2017.

Pretty sure they auto renew you. I actually cancelled and still got auto renewed

I keep looking for texas specific auto renewal info for you. Everything says its still plan specific. When i had 2 employees switch to our insurance, our broker told us what i told you and all went well. I apologize if it was bad info.
