I’ve never seen it happen. Strange.

Yes, they also roll in it and eat it.

Or maybe that's just our dog.

Well yep they sure do. My blind dog stepped in some tonight as a matter of fact. A definite shitty situation.

On a related note, is it possible to shite on yourself while sleeping?

Their lower to the ground with much stronger scent smellers so if they were to step in it it would be completely intentional

Step in it.
Eat it.
Roll in it.
Watch other dogs taking a shite, anticipating a warm, fresh shite to eat.

Dogs love shite so much, I'm surprised the dog food companies haven't marketed shite flavored dog food yet.

My wife’s aunt had a dog that took a shite, turned around and ate it in front of us.
She kept screaming, “stop it! We have company!!!”

Had a shite eating dalmatian. Wife got her some supplement that was supposed to make the dog not want to eat it. Umm ok how does that work? Makes it tastes bad? What tastes worse than shite?

Spoiler alert, it didn't work and we sold the dog

Oh yeah. This dalmatian loved shite so much it would wait for the doberman to pop a squat and catch it straight out of its arse. It never touched the ground
