Meh, everyone has mental issues to a degree, whether we admit it or not.
We were friends and fell in love. Age wasn't a consideration at the time, besides she is beautiful and has a great body still. Sex is amazing with her, way better than any younger woman I've been with. To each his own.

You are still young, she is not. She knows you are in your prime and she has passed that. So she is freaking out and scared you will upgrade to a younger, hotter model.

Yeah, this is pretty much it. I guess I was thinking once I married her, bought a house with her, she would finally get that I love her and no one else???

Maybe her sex drive matches his or they have similar personalities. Different things draw people to one another. With an older woman, I would think you need to reassure her that's she's beautiful and show her how into her you are.
Maybe try reverse psychology and comment that the woman is attractive instead of seeking like you're trying to ignore when you see an attractive one pass by. Just do it to see what she says. You just may need a more confident woman.

Men don't grasp just how depressing it is to women to get older. She may know deep down that you love her and have chosen her, but she is dealing with her losing her youth.

I totally understand that, just wish she would understand that she has to trust me or its going to split us apart.
She could easily pass for 38-39, so she still looks amazing. Not sure what else to do to get her to change.
