Could Terry Crews have beat the guy's arse? Absolutely. But that could have also ended his career. Terry's entire career he has generally been a good guy. He's a decent actor, played in plenty of funny roles. Good family man, Does not get into trouble, etc. He basically just works out, goes to work, and go home. That's it.
If he would have beat the guy's arse, he then gets locked up for assault. From then on he would be known as a hothead, anger management issues, etc. Not to mention the guy has the connections to really derail his career.
While I would never let another man touch me, even if he is my boss, I certainly am not going to get mad at Terry and act like he's a bitch all of a sudden. Because let's be honest, who on the OT thinks they could last 1 round in the ring with this guy?

Stop her from what? She touched you and walked away before you knew what happened. Do you chase her down and confront her?

I wish Crews was on now and would bodyslam Tamar.

I guess if you're sexually assaulting it's ok

Happens to women daily. they tried to start a movement to bring attention to it and ended up being the laughing stock of straight america. Why is it only okay and expected for men to fight back? Assault is wrong, and no one should be faced with losing a job and career that they worked hard to cultivate because someone cant keep their hands to themselves. nothing about you should be saying that he should just get another job, everything about you should be saying that this predator should be ostracized, prosecuted, and not allowed to keep his standing in society. period, that's all. that's the only acceptable treatment that makes this culture of abuse stop.

I didn’t say you would, you made it clear you wouldn’t hit anyone. I was referring to growing in a generation where women and men aren’t treated the same. Perhaps I wasn’t clear about that.
It’s really hard for me to wrap my mind around getting sexually assaulted by women. I would never view it as that, I would view it as an opportunity that I would have to decline due to being married.

Maybe. Maybe I would take it straight to HR. Chasing her down may not be the best option.

It’s womAn, singular by the way.
Women is plural.
I have hit people (men only). Never in the workplace. I’m old enough now to know it’s never a good idea to hit someone in any situation. I have too much to lose and some people have nothing to lose.

I agree.
That's what the courts are for. But you need to make it obvious the assault is unwanted.
I never have a female employee in my office unless there's a third party in there. I don't care if it's a review, interview, tprepremand, etc.
I also wouldn't be hurt if any employee wanted a third party with them at any time. You've gotta protect and stand up for yourself.
Ladies should never be one on one with a supervisor in his office.

I was asked once to bring a female in my car to the HR department. I laughed at them and asked them if they had lost their mind. You have to use your brain to protect yourself. Roger is correct.

It would all depend on the situation, you have to do what's in your overall best interest. You have to take a deep breath and control yourself.. Think how you can make it turn out in your favor, then do what you can to hurt that person.

Civil not criminal
Posted on 1/27/19 at 9:11 pm to RogerTheShrubber
we're talking about an incident that took less than a minute at a red carpet event, how exactly is he to go about proving that in civil court? we're not talking about a long standing pattern of accepted sexual abuse that can be cataloged, expected or recorded. that's a massive burden of proof and all it takes is one or two men who think the way you do and he's right back at square one and this guy is still doing it to others. Taking this to the court of public opinion wasnt only the most mature and brave way to handle this, it was also the most risky and most effective, I dont understand why you'd even consider nailing this guy to a cross for this, all he did was speak out and hold himself accountable for his own actions, and not abuse the man who was abusing him. I honestly dont think I understand why you're taking this angle about this situation. It just doesnt apply.
