I have no respect for a man that allows this to happen.

It only happens if you allow it. There are courts to recoup financial compensation

No one is saying anything about “allowing it to happen”. Anyways it could be a comment, not necessarily an action. It could come from someone you rarely deal with, not someone you directly report to. None of that makes it right but it does make it more complicated.

what if you have a lucrative job and the assaulter is your boss’s boss? It’s not a matter of if you can whoop his arse, it’s is it worth whooping his arse and pissing away your career?..... not so easy a decision all of a sudden

Still an easy decision to make. I’m willing to face whatever the consequences are for beating the shite out of the person violating me. If you don’t have pride and dignity, what’s there to live for?

"The casting couch" is generally a bilateral agreement for the benefit of both parties.

Wrong. Spoken like a person who has some self-respect. I can’t belive some of you would allow one of your fgt bosses to grab your junk, slap your arse, and the whole nine yards all because he’s your boss. I’m in lala land

Never figured you to be a victim shamer. I used to have so much respect for you back in the day.

I’m good. I’d rather go home and tell my wife I got fired for beating my bosses arse because he tried to have sex with me as opposed to telling her I was raped and just let it happen because “leverage” and “my boss”

I agree but the reaction seems to be different when it’s coming from a man that’s making allegations, that’s the problem I have.

except the way that story really goes that the boss denies the allegations and you get arrested for first-degree assault

sexual abuse can at times be so subtle that you might doubt your own interpretation of the event

there was a woman high up in legal circles that I would often see at political events. She was warm , flirtatious and friendly and not an unattractive woman.

We had a common circle of friends/colleagues we knew one another, we even in the past FB friends. This one night, in particular, she was more friendly than usual. very handsy. Other women that were there that night began to warn me to not be alone with her at any moment that night, I acknowledged to them I was aware she was drunk and super familiar.

Each one them, at least 3 that approached me were then more stern more absolute, NO ,Listen to me, IN NO WAY SHOULD YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE ALONE WITH HER FOR EVEN A SECOND

so obviously they were aware of her behavior, it was probably not the first time and none of them no anyone else had done anything about it.But they saw it coming and made sure I was warned and that night I had quite the escort to my vehicle. Powerful people get away with this shite all the time and other powerful people often do nothing to stop it, esp. when your career and family might be affected

and thats how I almost became Mr Ruth Bader Ginsburg
