If a man cheats it's because "he's a pig and can't keep it in his pants".
If a woman cheats is because "he wasn't meeting her needs".
Gotta love reverse sexism

Most all divorces are directly related to the woman just deciding she isn't happy.
I wonder how many of those women had unrealistic expectations of marriage? Or they just got so wrapped up in planning the wedding/getting engaged that they overlooked massive red flags that would have let them know marriage with that person is a bad idea.

HOLY shite. Someone change the thread title to indicate this nugget.
The restraining order is the trigger from "unstable" to "unstable and homicidal".

I know.
That's why I dont love no hos. And I damn sure aint putting a ring on it.
I will take my chances going to hell over divorce court, because the latter actually exists.

My question is...how many women at the age of 28-32 get married and settle down because its what society dictates they do. Then have a baby 2-3 years later. Then wake up one day and is unhappy where they are and leaves. I think marriage is a sham and something that society force feeds us thinking that we all should do it.

I think people choose very poorly far too often when it comes to marriage...both men and women. They often come from divorced homes themselves and have no sense of commitment. Plus you have SJW mentality that has trumpeted individual personal happiness above the safety and security if the family unit (the backbone of a thriving and safe society)

Probably 85%; I think it's that high because pretty much all women think they can change their man and when it doesn't happen.....well you know what happens

Took me about 5 years financially. Still working on the emotional angle. Where you are is not the new normal. It gets better as time goes by.

The emotional stuff may take a long time.
seeing the signs too late. feeling the pain I did not allow myself to fully feel.
forgive yourself. forgive her.
forgive yourself tomorrow. forgive her tomorrow.
every day, for a long time.

Ex and I were together for 14 years. I never signed a marriage certificate.
Took about two years to get semi normal. Don't think I'll ever get over my kids having to deal with that. But, it's not about me, it's about my kids.
Hang in there, it gets better.

Divorce is like dealing with the death of your partner - especially if you're the one not wanting the divorce. Unfortunately, there's no easy fix. Find a good support group, focus on the kids, and have a cold beer every once in a while. Good luck.
