The more you fight, the richer the lawyers get.

Were there red flags that you ignored early on?

Don’t be too proud to go see a therapist. I’ve had several friends go through a nasty divorce and they will tell you that seeing a therapist was the best idea they ever had

That is absolutely normal to feel. The idea that something natural can end this for you. A car accident, cancer, anything.

You're not crazy. You're human. This sucks and it won't go away any time soon.

Just take solace in that you're not the first and won't be the last to go through this incredibly traumatic event.
The trauma is often overlooked and laughed at here. But it's real. Very real and painful.

Day by day. Week by week. It will get easier.

I once knew a guy that told his wife the following when she told him she loved someone else and wanted a divorce: “I have $25,000 in savings. Either you can have it, and nothing more, or I will use it to pay someone to kill you.”

Yes he will. But 9 yrs ago, I clearly remember wanting to be murdered in a carjacking or hit by an 18 wheeler or get an aggressive cancer so I wouldn't have to do it myself. That is real talk.

If your divorce is brutal it is because your wife is a bitch or y’all are getting played by your lawyers

You must not have had kids, or been actually emotionally involved in your relationship because money, lawyers not getting what you want, are not the most brutal aspects of divorce.

I don’t even understand how this is possible. Do you not have a ring doorbell? Or any neighbors who give a shite about you at all?

How did a moving truck show up and unload your house and leave with your kids and you have absolutely no idea?

What I want to know OP is where I can find a damn good lawyer in Baldwin or Mobile County so mine is less brutal? It’s time for me to enter the Transfer Portal or if we want to use NFL terminology I want to put my sorry arse wife on waivers. It’s not like there is a Yelp for finding a damn good lawyer.

I have a friend who got $10 million in a business sale, and four years later he divorced his wife. You have to want out badly to sacrifice $5 million.

SO you pay nothing but child care?

Just know this, she is a shitty person. Shitty people dont care for others, she is using the kids to leverage her position right. now. In a few months she will be wanting to go throw the poon on others, she will ask you to take the kids every weekend. Take advantage of her selfish, whorish behavior and love on your kids. Life has a way of taking care of you.
