quote:

Disneyland has removed the phrase "zip-a-dee-doo-dah" from the music of its in-park parades due to racial sensitivity concerns.
quote:

The phrase was previously used in the music of the Disney "Magic Happens" parades before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the events to cease performance,
quote:

Disney made the change due to the phrase's origin in the 1946 film "Song of the South," long criticized for its idealistic portrayal of the post-war South and racial stereotypes.

I'm sure the people that white people think get offended by this have been to the park for many years and not cared.

Some only care when they are told to care…

I'll bet 90% of black people couldn't tell you where the phrase originated.

Just more white women shite.

I’m glad I don’t care one way or another about this.

We take a trip to the park, my little
Girl loves it. I don’t care if they call it splash mountain or Cinderellas acid trip through a bunghole in space.

I just think there are more important things we should be worried about. That wasn’t a shot at you, it was simply saying I’m glad I’m not upset over something that has 0 impact on my life

You can’t really stop a private business from rebranding something . That much government intervention seems pretty liberal to me and the opposite of Trump,Desantis or anyone else on Team Red.

I for one embrace our bland corporate culture country. Some of you don’t know the joys of an $8 coffee and participating in conversations that cannot be deemed offensive and lack all emotion while consuming the products picked for us by our corporate overlords

Walt Disney himself -- yes, there was an actual man named Walt Disney -- is on record as citing James Baskett (who sings "ZADDD" in SOTS) as his favorite actor

I’m not upset, it’s comically ludicrous what some of these companies are doing.

And yes, way more important things to worry about but for some, that’s all they do. Worry about shite like this…

James Baskett was the first black man to ever win an academy award for his performance of that song and mentally ill white people want to whitewash him from history.

No doubt! That’s kinda what I was saying just from both sides. The stuff that gets airtime and traction is wild these days
