Here stateside never thankfully, however the past does not predict the future. With the influx of Moslems to this country you better keep your guard up.

That's a separate issue vs what are our actual rights. Using that argument against what he did to justify the actions of the employees and police is small.

I'm sure Suzanna Hupp thought the same thing when she left her gun in the car and went into Luby's. No big deal on 23 murdered and 27 seriously wounded. Including watching her two parents be murdered in front of her while she was defenseless. She must have been a pussy for needing a gun at Luby's right?

Some people don't feel safe unless they have their personal firearm protection.
When bad things happen it's over before the cops get there. You better have your own protection and know how to use it properly.
All laws were being followed.
The "concerned" parents should have left if they did not feel safe.

When your "rights" are used in a stupid manner, guess what happens. New laws are made that adjusts your "rights". My guess is that sooner, rather than later, there will be new laws and guns will not be allowed there. A little bit of common sense goes a long ways. The reason laws get changed is because stupid people don't use common sense.

Not so fast everyone. I believe that certain cities in Louisiana can have their own city ordinances when it comes to open carry. Therefore, a city could charge disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace, depending on their position.

If someone will only look at what is "my right", or what is legal, then they will prob not look at common sense.

I completely agree with you, but it's Pineville PD. I'd trust LSUPD 1000x more than I'd trust those backwoods retards.

I can't see them escorting a deputy out, she was a deputy.

Though i also think people who carry in parks and public spaces like that just want attention. $0.02

Nothing to see here. Splash pads are trashy and open carrying at a Splash pad is taking trashy to the next level.

I'm all for people legally having firearms, in public or private. But the situation had nothing to do with you, do you not have the self control to keep your nosey self out of other people's business?

Perhaps laws get changed because "smart" people like you think you are using common sense and hoping for the best. Yes 99.9% of the time nothing is gonna go down at the splash pad. However every place that has had a mass shooting occur probably thought the same thing. What's wrong with being prepared within the confines of the law. Sounds like you are a coward hiding behind what you call common sense because it makes you feel superior.
