Direct supervisor now requiring weekly meetings to be on webcam through WebEx

So annoying. How am I suppose to multitask and not really pay attention?

Is it that hard to jump on a WebEx once a week? I work from home, and my WebEx meetings are all audio only, but I wouldn’t care if I had to jump on cam once a week.

I'm on an island here in ATL from the rest of my team, who are spread around the country. We don't always do it but it's always been nice when we have a video meeting to put faces to the voices. If you work from home, it's not like you have to get dressed up...just wear a t-shirt and you're golden. Not as comfortable as the official "WFH Robe" but not exactly like having to put on a suit.

Use an external monitor and leave your laptop shut. Camera won't show anything, you can still hear and contribute vocally, and if you're pressed you can make a point that your workspace is optimised with the monitor and changes would have a negative impact on your work output.

She was in her bra at first. Then put on a shirt. During the call, she pulls out a popsicle and is going to town sucking it super close to the camera. I was silently dying. She finished it and I calmed down. THE LADY PULLS OUT A SECOND ONE AND STARTS OVER.
I was crying.
