I was already grown and out of the house when Trivial Pursuit came out. I had one at home.

Yes but the OG version was hard AF. No 13 yr old knows any of that shite. My mom and dad used to battle on old movies, history and literature. Nature and science was my only chance.

We had several versions for different questions. Used to play with the grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, cousins, and siblings all together. Good memories.

was recently thinking about how my family played this for several years when we got together for the holidays. Really enjoyed it!

Pictionary was much more fun, IMO. We used to have a blast

We played a lot of cards and dominos rather than board games. Was I poor?

Yes, but we played pictionary and later cranium more. So many hilarious arguments. Rule books got scrutinized to death in our house.

When I was a kid, the families got together to play hearts, though.

It's funny because I'm talking about a game centered around unfettered capitalism.

We had that game, and loved it.

If you didn't learn much else, you learned that the correct answer to the only 2 professional ice hockey questions was either Bobby Orr or Peter Howe.

South LA guy like myself would never have known otherwise.
