Took it in 8th grade. Never realized how long 5 minutes was until a 5 minute typing test.

an article about the murder of my typing teacher.

She was a really good teacher. Probably 40ish. Her boyfriends son shot both his own dad and her execution style. Crazy.

I was at LSU at the time and didn't even know about until after I graduated.

Tried to. Teacher passed out 2nd or 3rd day of class and retired so they just split us into other classes.

One of the classes that I took in high school that I am truly grateful for. I can type like a sumbitch.

Yes, with old school typewriter. Perhaps the most relevant HS class I ever took.

Yes. Same problem.

We did get the ID card forms for the upcoming year in order to enter everyone’s student info.

We snuck in a fake birthdate for everyone making them 18 years old. Legal drinking age at the time.

The school never caught it and every place accepted it. We were 15 years old at the time.
As did we on the student council board. I was in charge, and it was easy money. Even used it at the Astrodome to buy 10cent Lone Stars.

Yes, in 1987.

It is probably the most important class I took in High school.

Very underrated.

Best part about typing class was trying to sneak in the copy and pasting of lines when the teacher wasn’t looking.
