You're like, halfway right. I researched it, it doesn't make it thicker in the sense that it makes more hair, it doesn't make it any denser, but it does make the individual hair shaft of the ones that are there thicker and more coarse, because you're cutting them off bluntly and they're not there long enough to be thin and soft, the reason that the hair on the rest of your body is thin and fine is because it's been there for some time.

I had a goatee by the time I was 13 and a full grown Middle Eastern man beard by the time I was 15, so yes, I shaved.

Started shaving when I was 15. A couple times a week then and increased to almost every day by the time I graduate.

I didn't have to, still only shave about twice a week

Started in the summer between freshman and sophomore year in hs once a week. Still only shave once a week

My 13 year old has to shave. He doesn't have a beard, but a sparse little mustache that I don't dig. He will not have facial hair, long hair, tattoos, piercings or whatever body mod is in fashion until he's out of my house. Then he can do what he wants. Until then, his little mustache is going to be shaved.
