How did you people make decisions before the internet?

Are you close with the future FIL?
Will his presence mess up the vibe with the people you are close to and with whom you actually want to share this event?
Does he even want to go?
Why does your fiancee care?

I said all that to say, "no, grow a pair". That's the most retarded proposition I've heard of in a while.

No way. I see nothing good that can come of that. Heck, why would he want to go in the first place? Is he close to you? I wouldn't want to watch my future son-in-law get shitty drunk and drool over strippers.

and even worse.

She trusts daddy more, and will spend forever trying to make you into him.

Actually yes, but that was her own doing. I ended up standing my ground and he is not coming.

Is this even a thing anybody does? I've never heard of the bride's father going on a bachelor party. The only parent at a bachelor party I've been to was the groom's dad on a fishing trip to Cocodrie. Is she taking your mom on hers?

I've been to some BP's where the groom's father was there.

I've never heard of one where the bride's father was there, unless maybe a very tame/lame one.

under, sounds like OP isn't too much of a pushover since he stood his ground. He will soon realize she loves daddy more than him

Going to Pensacola for my bachelor party and my Fiance is adamant on me bringing her dad. Did you guys bring your future FIL along and how did it go?

I invited both my FIL and step FIL, and the both politely declined the main night, but came to the dinner the night before.

Which I their case, is the right thing to do. Go to whatever tame event starts the night/weekend, then go the hell home.
