Armada. GEAUXmedic, keep us posted. Terrible tragedy.

People run off that road, over correct, and then end up against a tree all the time on that road. Terrible that a couple kids were taken out this time. Prayers to all involved.

Damn, sad picture with the bobbers still in the water.

Damn. Their lines are still in the water.

Driver is "fortunate" not to have been submerged in water.

Oh wow. How heartbreaking

I'm sure we'll get a name soon enough, but someone could run those plates to get the owner. I wonder if it was just slick roads + speed or something more.

I live right off LA 74 (near Bluff Road) and didn't get any rain today.

May God be with their families.

Thought I saw a puddle by the police car in the first pic. Well, guess they weren't slick then.

No shoulder + elevated road. When you tire runs off the road you drop 6-8" and knee jerk reaction is to jerk back the other way causing you to over correct. Once every couple months someone dies on bluff from that. It is a pretty sharp curve right there so it could be that too.

Oh man that last pic with the corks and hat on the ground will tear at your heart. Prayers sent to whomever the family is.

I've been looking just out of curiosity and I don't see the spot on google maps that y'all are taking about

From WBRZ:
UPDATE: A total of five people who were fishing were hit by the out-of-control SUV. Video from the scene will be available on WBRZ.com after the broadcast.
reports say 3 adults and 2 children were hit

I second this. Someone must be pretty good suppressing headlines and hiding bodies if people are dying on Bluff that much.
