Let the downvotes rain, but it's true. How long were appointments held up so they could play politics?

These people are either very rich and don't qualify or are already 100% supported by the government. Why should everyone already on government assistance get more money when they didn't lose anything?

That’s what’s in pelosi’s house bill. The senate bill is solid and is ready to roll. The senate bill is the one that needs to pass today.

If they keep going on their current course sitting on their hands, everyone job is going to be on the line come election season.

The longer the posturing the more people on both sides will get as they run out of money and work due to a govt order. Something will have to budge

Yep.

Not everyone needs a stimulus check but I'm guessing it's meant to bolster local business than it is to prop up people.

Many people will not need help.

Until congressmen are facing eviction (not gonna happen) we wont see anything besides the same old politics. Republicans wanted a bill that gave McConnell $500 billion to give to whoever he wanted so that was never gonna pass, then the Dems countered with a bill that has a whole lot of dumb shite like student loan forgiveness that have nothing to do with coronavirus.

Like trying to make sure the $500 billion for businesses goes to workers and not executives??

And how does $35 million for the Kennedy Center and notice requirements for emissions use for airlines help this?

Does she actually want it or is it just a tool to hold things up since she knows the other team will never pass it?

She’s holding up funding that people and businesses need for crap that has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on.

Or, does it even matter?

Yes, people are in desperate need of some assistance.

Both sides play this same exact game. GOP pulled the same shite when Obama was in office.

I’m not aware of a situation like the one we are currently experiencing under Obama. And what games did the gop play?

They're in it for them and their donors. What happens to you is irrelevant.

The democrats donors are almost completely held up by government. They’re ensuring they are keeping their money coming in.

Explain why you need the money and let us decide if you "need it", or "want it".

I truly think MOST senators understand this. Most everyone who spoke yesterday was saying how appalling it was that we are gridlocked. The ones who weren't kept pointing fingers. It was clear the ones playing politics, and the ones frustrated on behalf of their constituents. And it had nothing to do with party lines.
