Not a guru, i'm working on it, but I do know a lot more about economics than the average American. I mean, that is partially what i'm getting my masters degree in so I should hope I know what I'm talking about when it comes to economics. I have no doubt that the vast majority of economists would agree with me that a terrorist attack on WalMart would have a net negative impact on the United States economy. Even if SFP is right and people buy just as much food at grocery stores, the stock market would selloff and crude oil prices would increase. These two effects would hurt the economy. Crude oil went up $11 last week just because some Israeli defense minister threatened to bomb Iran. You don't think that the first serious attack on United States soil in 7 years would at least cause a $2-3 spike in oil prices??

i'm going to go to our ghetto wal mart today just to let these people know how good they have it, being able to shop at wal mart without dying of fear

Nothing will cripple the nation's economy like a backpack suicide bomber blowing up an almost empty Wal-Mart at 11 o'clock at night

That was just practice Speedy. Even a terrorist believes that practice makes perfect.

Probably not. I mean you have a much greater chance of dying from driving, a pool in your backyard, etc. etc. than from terrorists. However, that does not mean we shouldn't take the threat seriously, especially in this day and age with biological and chemical warfare.

I am always at Lowe's or Home Depot so I go to that Wal-Mart from time to time and there is some shite there more scary than arabs with backpacks on.

Chicago has the largest Palestinian population in the US. They are known to be a major fund raising element for the PLO.
All it takes is a phone call or email for a fund raiser to become an active terrorist cell. There was an email that went out on thursday saying that the FBI in Milwaukee had received a significant threat to all Federal activities in the greater Milwaukee area.
