re: Did Carlos Marcello kill JFK?

When I moved to the New Orleans metro area to start work post college in 2000, the company I worked for (still do) rented temporary space a couple of buildings down from our location in Jefferson near Elmwood. We did some overflow shipments out of the building we rented.
The building was Pelican Tomato Company. It was still operated by one of Carlos' sons.
I was green, new to the area and had no clue of the history and ties to the mafia. Put two and two together the day my boss asked me if I ran across JFK's brain in the freezer at said warehouse.
Carlos' son was straight out of central casting. Sat behind a desk all day smoking cigars. Had a painting of himself smoking a cigar behind said desk. Was a really nice guy the few times I interacted with him.
Building is still there but is now a roofing supply yard.

The interesting thing about the mafia when Carlos Macello was in his heyday was that no one was above him.
He's talking about Allen Dulles and, perhaps, LBJ -- much bigger than any mafia boss. If you're Dulles, you would work with the mafia to either conduct the action or clean up the mess afterwards.
IMO: Dulles was definitely the one that conducted operation. He had the clear motive, know how, and ability. He spent that weekend at a CIA operations facility and found a way onto the Warren commission to steer them away. Whether he relied solely on CIA assets or used some mafia assets is a minor part of the story.
I encourage everyone to read/listen to the book: The Devil's Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America's Secret Government LINK

None of that is evidence. All of the evidence points to Lee Harvey Oswald being the lone assassin.
At best, those are some interesting anecdotes, and several of them have been debunked.
What hasn't been debunked is as follows:
1) The bullets taken from Kennedy's body, Connally's body, and the limousine matched Oswald's rifle to the exclusion of all other rifles.
2) The rifle was found on the same exact floor that the vast majority of eye witnesses said the shots came from.
3) The rifle belonged to Lee Harvey Oswald and had his prints on it.
4) Oswald was the only depository employee unaccounted for after the assassination.
5) Oswald had already tried one political assassination with the same rifle.
6) Oswald killed a police officer who stopped to question him after his description went out.
7) Oswald was apprehended with the pistol that killed JD Tippett.
8) There has never been a shred of physical evidence that indicated a second rifle in a second location.
9) There has never been a shred of physical evidence that indicated there was any other shooter than Oswald.
10) There has never been a shred of physical evidence that Oswald was being supported by any outside party.
Marcello killed a lot of people, but if he had plotted to kill Kennedy, they wouldn't have gotten close. The only way it could be pulled off was the same way all Presidential assassination attempts have been pulled off except Lincoln: a lone nut that nobody knew was planning to assassinate the president.

The Allen Dulles theory doesn't rule this out as an option. As you know, Oswald had connections to the agency and Dulles had discussed using easily manipulated people to conduct similar missions in the past.

After reading Mafia Kingfish, I’m convinced Carlos had both JFK and RFK killed. Because they deported him.

You know… it’s interesting. Maybe intelligence and FBI knew about it and let it happen for their reasons. Clean hands.

Mafia never existed. It was just made up to justify anti Italian discrimination

You’re wrong. They were built different back then.

I worked with someone who's father ran book for Marcello. His answer is yes and there was definitely someone in the sewer. TIFWIW
