Yes, a guy at work knows the family. The tale is true, he called his mom before they moved the rail car. Unfortunately, that was their last conversation. Young guy, 1st day on the job and had a young kid.

There's some pretty eye opening videos out now of accidents on drilling rigs. shite can go wrong in a hurry on those things.

Heard the same story about Exxon worker 20 plus years ago. Pinned between two rail cars and family called. Not sure if these stories are true or not.

A similar accident occurred involving a young man about 25 years ago at a local plant. He had severe injuries to his torso including his genitalia. Amazing teams of surgeons rebuilt his manhood. Probably had it " custom " made. He also had multiple surgeries to create a bionic rectum.

Heard this story many times thru the years in plants. I know rail incidents are common. The call family part did happen once that I know of. No way it can happen every time. Horrible anyway.
