That's because you probably don't like yourself very much.

I don’t believe in God, but I do get joy when I see people find belief and better themselves. Kudos to you.

I tried to get more into church and didn’t find it very helpful. I still go, but I sit in the pew and feel alone, and don’t feel especially welcome or part of a community. Other than an awkward sign of the peace, only one person (an old college friend) ever talks to me. There’s no young adult group, and if I joined the KC’s, I’d be the youngest member by at least 20 years.
I made my long strides from rock bottom mostly through better habits, changing my diet, therapy, exercise, and great friendships. I’m not saying religion hurt the process, but it didn’t seem to do much of the heavy lifting.
However, a close friend of mine leaned heavily on his Catholic faith to help get sober after his divorce, and it really helped him turn his life around.
To be honest, the only thing I really need right now is a steady job.

Look, no Christian needs to successfully convert any of the masses that reject Christ. Don't gloat yourselves believing that's the case.
However, I will refer you to Luke 8:39. Check it out and get back to us.

Y'all ain't got nothing on me.
Where did you come from?
Why are you here?
What happens when your life is over?
Ask yourself and try to be intellectually honest with yourself.

What does a non believer turn to for absolute truth? A curious believer would like know

Our ancestors made it from primordial soup to great civilizations before Jesus was supposedly even born. We can only imagine what hell some of those people endured.
And now we live in a Disney World of peace, comfort, and convenience that people from just a few generations ago would find astonishing and yet we somehow need Jesus to cope with it all.
I don’t begrudge anyone using whatever they need to get through the night, but you don’t really need religion to do it.

Why does anyone need absolute truth or morality?

Do you think we need law?

Abiogenesis is fundamentally no different from nuclear physics or any other scientific discipline. Only religious people lump it in with religion.
