Ricky Anderson is a good police chief.
Doing this does not make someone good at their job. He is an elected official right? Since he depends on votes he has to do this part.

He is involved with the people and gets to know his community.
That's the problem with local politics. People get caught up in these local elected officials making them feel good because they know their name, etc that people are willing to overlook what they are doing in office.
If Anderson is so good.. Why did the WBR sheriff have to file suit again him several years ago?
quote:
As far as this murder, it was absolutely homicide, in IMHO! The guy had Parkinsons, which would make it nearly impossible to have bound himself. It does not make sense. His home health nurse found him. It really doesnt matter if it was sex gone wrong, in the end, its still homicide or negligent homicide. If it was sex, then his partner left him that way. Either way, a man lost his life, which is a tragedy.
If it is that they found him handcuffed to his own bed with a gag in his mouth and a paper bag over his head, unless he was Harry Houdini there is no way he would have been able to out himself in that situation.
Anderson asked someone if they ever heard of autoeroticism. I assume he is trying to say that's how the guy got his rocks off. But doesn't that involve choking? So if that is the case, that is what the gag was for?
But even if he was able to out himself in that situation, if he somehow handcuffed himself to the bed how did he plan to get himself out of the handcuffs?
If he killed himself, I doubt he would have wanted to be found the way he did.
Because it is a small town, that's when you have to start asking questions. We can only assume there was, but if someone else was involved, is Anderson trying to protect that person? His department is known for not being able to properly process a crime scene.
To do it over and over, it makes you wonder.. Are there things they don't want investigators to find?

What is your opinion?
I think local rumor, while often based in truth, is often started by dumbasses with no clue. There seems to be some of both going on here.
The Chief would say "No Comment" instead of "No Evidence of Murder" if he was unsure.

You would think that someone who has been in office as long as he has would know how to handle these things.
It might sound trivial, but local politics is the root of corruption especially in this state and these people forget who they work for.. People vote them into office so the people should know what is going on. If not, the people need to know if the people they elect are out to serve them.. or themselves.

The people should know.. You dig?

Can you cut the shite and be more specific? I can see where my wording can be misunderstood. Let me know if that is the problem.

I just like people, man. That's all.

The people already know. That is a huge part of the problem.

This is true. And its all about "what can you do for me" which I understand. That is just human nature. But I think its something people need to be aware of.
