In tennis when a player hits a lucky shot that hits the top of the net and bounces over the unwritten rule is the player who hit the lucky shot acknowledges it with a "sorry".

After Townsend (black girl) beat the other girl (who is Latvian), the other girl (white Latvian) told her something about how she doesn't have class and is probably uneducated. When I saw the highlights of it, I took it as the Latvian girl was pissed because she lost.
Townsend was asked if she thought it was racist and she said she didn't really take it that way, but it was possible.
If it happened 20 years ago, it would have been a non story that only tennis fans would still be talking about. But social media does what it does and you can find 10 different versions of the story.
