You're gonna beat the shite out of this. I guarantee it. Flex those muscles, because you got it. Wake up early, kiss your babies, and get to work beating the shite out of this little twerp that's bugging you. Eat some lunch, take a nap, and then beat the hell out of this a-hole. You're better and you're stronger than this coward that's trying to mess with you.

Whenever you tell someone that you love them, add in the fact that you're going to beat the frick out of this nuisance that is slowing you down.

You got this.

To every last one of you - THANK YOU, for your words of encouragement, medical advice/recommendations, alternative treatments, offers of flights, best wishes from a Bama fan that he will be happy for me if LSU wins, it is all just amazing and heartwarming.

For those who asked married 53 year old female. Quit drinking 17 years ago due to migraine headaches (so liver should be healthy) & quit smoking 3 years ago (probably too late as tumor developed 7 - 8 years ago). Also, NO one in my family has ever had cancer (I am such a trailblazer)! Heart attacks and strokes tend to be what got us (a few cases of diabetes). Thought it would be a heart attack, but never cancer.

Anyway, thank each and every one of you & I hope this never affects any of your loved ones.

Bless you all!!!

probanly had zero to do with it anyway. This stuff is more genetics than anything.. im sorry for your diagnosis. But dont let it determine who you are. Live your life, enjoy your life, love your family, and when its your time... its your time. We all have to face that day, rather its tomorrow or 50yrs from now. Doctors have gave time frames and been compeltely wrong before, dont let what some guy tells you be the book to live by. You are not dying in 6months. Live your life and keep fighting!

Very good advice on how I should live my life. Also, forgot to mention NO one in my family has ever had cancer - no one! Heart attacks and strokes that is another story and what I thought would get me be not cancer.

Thank you for the prayers. Actually, plan on going to Charlene Richard's grave and praying this week. If you have never heard of her she is called the little Cajun Saint and has been known for some miracles. Not cannonized but sad story.

The little cajun saint

Very sorry that you are having to deal with this...even the idea strikes fear in most everyone alive.

I don't know the particulars, because it is a relative of a coworker...but this person was diagnosed over ten years ago, underwent treatments, and is still in good health today.

you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight.

Sorry about your dad! I know the odds are against me and if any quality of life goes down I am telling them bring in hospice and morphine and just let me go. Both Will and living will have been completed.

I know of your Uncle (attended Notre Dame). Is he your dad's brother? Sad they both have cancer but sounds like your uncle beat it and your dad is putting up a good fight also.

You need to be careful and keep getting checkups as it runs in your family.

Sad part no one in my family ever had cancer - I get to be the first!

I have never heard of Charlene Richard...thank you for making me aware of her!

I will plan to visit her grave and when I do, I will say a prayer for you as well.

My pop passed last summer, and I got a diagnosis in May. Mine isn't nearly as serious as yours however, at this point.

I've got grandkids and kids I want to see grow older, I'm willing to go through any treatment when the time comes.

You seem to have a great attitude, that goes a long way. Get rid of all the negative people in your life, they aren't going to help you regardless of your outcome.

cancer is one of those things any of us can get at any time. Children get cancer every day who have never smoke, drank, or done a thing. Doctors have no clue why, its just one of those things that happens to almost all of us at some point to be honest. Just another stick in the road. Life is a journey... sometimes there are sticks in the road, just have to step over them and keep going.

I am so sorry to hear of your father and your diagnosis - wish I had advice but I am just starting this journey so not sure what to expect - sounds as if they caught it early.

Realized in your earlier email you are living in Juneau - it was actually named after my great, great grandfather (not sure how many greats)
He was not any type bigwig - worked for some type of land company and recommended the area so they named it after him Juneau.

Jimmy Carter had some type of cancer that had spread and he beat it. Don't give up and look at all options. Even if you have to go overseas to try something.
