Moved around a lot but settled in LA in 2003. Almost done raising my kids in LA and will likely work abroad in 2-3 years. Been fortunate monetarily so no damage in making career moves in my mid-40's.
Wanna "see the world" as much as we can before grandchildren come into reality.

Got married in Sept of 2017 (not a saturday) in front of our parents and a JOP. Moved to Idaho two weeks later with no job lined up and about $3000.
Went to my brother's wedding in houston the first night. Said our farewells and we were off. Took us 4 days to get to Boise, but that's mostly because our Jeep was having issues.
Went through Texas, New Mexico, A sliver of Colorado, Utah and finally Idaho. Utah at the end of September/beginning of October is the most beautiful place I have ever seen.
Finally got to Boise. It was rough at first (homesickness, took a few different jobs before I found the right fit, etc.) but now my wife has a position where she works remote 80% of the time and I am back in school.
In a much better place now than if we would have stayed in Louisiana. I love Louisiana, but it is not a good place for young people wanting to have new experiences.

Just curious, but did you think anyone was really going to read all that?
I quit at "AmeriCorps".
Anyone finish it? Not a suicide note I hope.
