What's the story behind this one? Someone on the M/TV said that "The Killing Field" is doing an episode on an LSU/BR murder.
They are doing like a 6 part special on her.
But of course, it is done terribly.

Funny story about that POS... When he was having heart issues, they brought him down to UH, when one of the LSU cardiac fellows was working him up for an internal defibrillator, he was crying for his momma....Stupid piece of shite....

Is the Killing Field show as good as Making a Murderer? Or Dateline NBC?

Not even close.
It's comically bad, but I'm interested in the story so keep watching.

DTL lived in a house off hwy 61 in St. Francisville. The long-time owner of that house prior to the time DTL purchased it was Cpl. Merriell "Snafu" Shelton of the 1st Marines, made famous in the HBO miniseries The Pacific.
Isn't that crazy?
That's pretty frickin crazy

You can see it from 61. It's green & pink and sits on a hill.

No I don't think so
It's too over the top and staged to me

Uhh, no. It's a drama laden, nut filled turd of a show.

That is crazy.
I can relate to your weird feeling you have about being connected to this case, as I had several uncanny and very close connections to people involved in the BSL/Mickey Shunick case, that I absolutely could not post about on here when that thread was active. Man, that was wild.

They're going for a different style. It's a docudrama shot in a True Detective like style. It's pretty hoakie but if you can get past that, it's sad because of the backstory but hilarious in parts. They interview the detective every night on his porch in his wife beater with his magic rum and coke like Julian from trailer park boys. I find it pretty entertaining even though it's over the top.

Rumor was that he , along with other members of his family, was retarded because it was a lot of incest going on in the Lee family.

Good news. Too bad someone didn't murder him in the pen years ago.

This was very common in rural black families
