Thanks for the correction, would that have a negative effect on his heart health?
It could make him more at risk of ischemia of the myocardium, especially in the setting of hypoxia. Acute evidence of ischemia wouldn’t be seen in GF’s heart because he did not live long enough to show evidence, so it’s impossible to say for sure whether or not that happened.
There was no evidence during the autopsy that GF had any ischemic events (scarring of myocardium) in the past.
Coronary artery disease is a funny thing. You’ll find an old man with arteries like clogged, uncooked pasta who got run over crossing the street. Then you’ll see a 30 year old with a tiny focal area of 70-80 stenosis in the proximal LAD artery (widowmaker) with completely clean arteries everywhere else.

He basically said the restraint, drugs, and health condition all contributed to GF’s death.
That's not what the cardiologist said

Heart muscle thickness at autopsy cannot be overanalyzed because, like skeletal muscle, the heart undergoes rigor mortis which can alter muscle thickness after death. That’s why the weight of a heart is a more significant measurement. Wall measurements are most useful for looking for asymmetric measurements, not subtle hypertrophy.

Was his death preventable?
Yes, don't pass a fake bill. :bang head:

How many other people have ever died from being in the same restraint position?

Prosecution is trying hard targeting Chauvin

Why is this guy so animated?
He’s an activist woke doctor who has been rehearsing this presentation for months. He’s probably hoping for an interview on The View, a book deal, and to be the next Dr Oz.

These are still prosecution witnesses. The fact they aren’t much more compelling/jaded than they have been is pretty telling.

This guy is setting up to be a hostile witness - he's already appearing to be a contrarian from the outset of cross
Posted on 4/12/21 at 11:29 am to RealDawg
This witness is already getting testy and defensive with Nelson.
Posted on 4/12/21 at 11:29 am to RealDawg
he is already making this quack uncomfortable.

This defense lawyer must finish 75% or more of his questions with right? right? right? right?

Nelson is not going to put up with being talked to like a child
