quote:I'm having a hard time with this portion. The ME is claiming asphyxiation due to neck compression, but just stated he didn't think pressure was being applied to the carotid artery. He's also saying no tissue damage found in the neck. So just how is he getting to asphyxiation due to neck compression?
the unexcluded cerotic artery would continue to allow blood flow to the brain"
Why are we here?!?!?!?

So we are supposed to believe that Chauvin put so much pressure but yet left no physical signs of damage.

Does Nelson even need to present a defense?

I think the most awesome thing is that Nelson seems to occasionally miss something or be wrong just enough to validate everything else the witness agee's with him on. That is slick.
I have noticed this too, and I believe it has been intentional and very effective. Like he is playing dumb so that the witness can correct him and feel like the authority.

Why is Nelson veering into tropical disease? He was rolling.

To get this thread past 1000 pages Yes.

He’s pretty much admitting that he doesn’t know the difference or definition of the cause of death that he claimed.

When a normal person is exercising or exerting energy their coronary vessels dilate to allow more blood flow to the heart because it’s beating faster. A person with 90% occlusion is already maximally dilated at baseline, so there’s no room to dilate more to accommodate for the increased heart rate. I’m surprised this wasn’t brought up when they discussed the blood supply to the SA node.

THE ME HAS PREVIOUSLY CERTIFIED FENTENYL DEATHS WITH LOWER LEVELS THAN WHAT GF HAD IN HIS SYSTEM
Posted on 4/9/21 at 3:17 pm to PurpleFin
Well that just blew up the " he didn't have a high enough level of Fentanyl to OD" argument.
Has certified deaths with the amount Floyd had and lower.

And even said that lower levels had a combination of other drugs - just like Floyd had.

Come on Ams now explain why the professional is wrong.

This has been a good day for both teams. After yesterday and today, I think the prosecution has a better chance at manslaughter than before, I also think the defense has a better chance of having jurors stick to their guns on not guilty if they feel that way...not saying they do feel that way, just if they do, they are unlikely to sway
