I know it's just jury selection but I've been impressed with the Chauvin's attorney so far.
The website for his firm is must less impressive.
ETA: I think the judge has been incredibly fair thus far. He's pushed back against the states challenges a few times and I believe overruled one of their objections if I heard that correctly in the background.

whether the drugs helped is irrelevant, dude wouldn’t have died without a knee on his neck for 8 minutes. but keep defending this piece of shite

He wouldn't have OD if he wouldn't have been on drugs and then swallowed his stash. The autopsy says everything you said is pure bullshite.

Seven experts in toxicology, cardiology and illegal drug use consulted by The Washington Post largely disagreed with that idea, most of them strenuously. All but one said the autopsy findings and other court documents, coupled with the well-known chain of events that evening, made death by a fentanyl overdose unlikely to impossible.

took 30 seconds to find this but keep spewing dumb shite

The medical examiner appeared to back the conclusion that Floyd was not asphyxiated -- listing a host of injuries absent in this case, in particular petechiae, or pinpoint-size red spots caused by broken blood vessels that can sometimes be a sign of asphyxiation.
The 911 tape stated he was acting drunk so he was already trashed while breaking tge law. The whole video shows him fighting back with the police and the police followed their manual for combative people on drugs. The toxicology report shows not 1 but 2 different drugs with fatal levels not to mention other drugs ( I think a total of 5) in his system. I'm sure his blood pressure and stress shot through the roof knowing he was going to jail and that combined with heart disease and drugs caused him to have a heart attack. He absolutely didn't die from asphyxiation as there were zero signs of that happening.
The fact you want ignored is if george floyd wouldn't have been breaking the law and fighting back with the police while having fatal amounts of drugs in him we wouldn't be here.
It's sickening to proclaim floyd a victim as this all started and ended with HIS CHOICES.

You know that beyond a reasonable doubt?
With severe heart disease
Covid
Meth
And fentanyl in his system
Scary
The guy said he couldn’t breathe when he was in the back of the car. Also, he pulled this exact thing before. Started crying and freaking out then swallowed his stash and overdosed. If you act a fool enough it catches up with you.
Chauvin is wreckless and doesn’t need to be a cop, but a murderer? Not a chance.

also, maybe if he wasn't high as frick he wouldn't have needed a knee on his neck.
try thinking beyond your kneejerk feelings and consider context

if you’re claiming he died of an overdose, experts disagree with you.
if you’re claiming his health problems combined with the drugs, AND the cops knee all had something to do with it then i would have to agree with you. that would still mean that cop was complicit in Floyd’s death

He died of a combination of drugs and heart disease. He was already saying he couldn't breathe ( this is a sign of cardiac arrest which he died from) before he was restrained.

Really? Because it sure seems like the ME was doing a whole lot of fence straddling. He listed the cause of death as homicide, but went on the record saying that Floyd did have a likely fatal amount of Fentanyl in his system, and that if Floyd had been found anywhere else, like at home, it would have been ruled a drug overdose.
That's a big problem.
ETA: And, given that the same autopsy shows no signs of bruising to the carotid artery, no signs that the trachea had been restricted, and no other signs that his airway was restricted, and it is an even bigger problem.
ETA(Again): If you're going to go the cardiac arrest route, then you have to acknowledge the drugs in his system, the excited delirium, and the fact that Floyd alone was responsible for escalating the situation.

Again, I ask: How do you square the ME's comments, on the record, that Floyd had a likely fatal amount of Fentanyl in his system, and that if he had been found dead anywhere else, it would have been ruled a drug overdose?
