Redirect now -
-This guy doesn’t think bystanders posed a threat
-could have called for backup and more officers if they were concerned
-crowd size doesn’t matter if they aren’t threatening
- this guy is not a trainer but goes through use of force training every year

cop getting up there and saying a handcuffed suspect is no threat is gonna get stomped.
Just last week there was a video of police in Florida making a arrest. They had him handcuffed and put in the back seat. They no sooner turned their back when a bystander open the back door and the secured handcuffed kid was out the car and trucking down the beach.

Can you elaborate please?
He's basically a boomer that hasn't made any real arrests since the 80s (old school cop days) and is giving opinions based on yearly minimum training refreshments.
He is saying there was no reason to put a knee on the neck after he was handcuffed and that once you're handcuffed you're not a threat.
Plenty of evidence out there to disprove this.
But again, nothing he is saying is proving that Chauvin killed GF.

He basically got him to give 100% contradictory testimony than he just gave for the prosecution.
He destroyed his credibility.

Going to have to assume Defense has a trainer or somebody to call that can speak to specific policy and that knee is allowed. However, I would assume if he did it would somehow of come up just then in some way.
What I heard is Nelson trying to edge that Chauvin was in defensive mode still..that will be a stretch.
Either that technique is allowed or it isn't. If it isn't it will be hard to overcome that Chauvin didn't play some role even if inconclusive and GF died from drugs. Especially when no measures were immediately taken once they believed there not to be a pulse.
The fact GF put himself in this position will no longer matter.

More redirect-
Says “hold for EMS” does not excuse officers from rendering aide
Does not think DC should have held his knee on GF for 9 mins
- end of redirect
Adjourned for day til 9:15ct Monday
This witness did a really good job for the prosecutions case

However, it can't be left out there are other officers on site (who also didn't provide any medical efforts) which is why they had this witness try to say that whoever cuffs the suspect owns them at that point.

Yes. And he ignored the fact that Floyd could be a danger to himself. Remember he was in a state of excited delirium because he decided to take a speedball. So you restrain the person to protect others as we as the person themselves. It’s clear Floyd didn’t know what was going on and wasn’t making sense.

I had no idea CourtTV was run by liberal scum.

Hmm- the black woman commentator they just talked to on Court TV is a policy advisor for our Governor.

I didn't hear it that way.
He might have taken some ground back but not most of it.
Nothing reversed that this officer said using the knee is NOT a policy and shouldn't have been done and that having them prone puts them at greater risk.
I don't think in any way Chauvin tried to kill GF. I can admit at some point, with multiple officers present, they could have simply sat him up. Maybe he fights back, if so then back to the ground. It had been multiple minutes since he actively resisted (granted he was being held down by two men while in cuffs).
Again I think he was still caught up in the 10 minute struggle they just had, the crowd who saw none of that are being idiots, EMS was rolling up etc. He just held his position instead of reassessing. He was talking calmly with the other officer.
My main issue happens once they take his pulse and said he didn't have one then Chauvin also takes it. If I am on the jury, this is the point when I have a problem.
Pretty obv at this point the man isn't moving and you just said he didn't have a pulse. Could he still cause harm? Maybe but he is in cuffs, you have backup, he has already been searched.
