That’s why I added the second easier question. I imagine if Carver and/or his friends had considered it, perhaps we wouldn’t be having this thread at all…..

Perhaps it is the coroner’s report that leads me to doubt Carver & Washington’s accounts of the evening.

What in the report makes you doubt Carver's account? Does Washington have an account that was released publicly?

because young adults (and most people in general) are too occupied seeking immediate gratification than worrying about consequences

Since there’s been a trend of no consequences to anything for a while.

Until my home had 12 feet of water in it from Hurricane Katrina, I never (thankfully) truly understood how incredibly unfair flood insurance is in compensating one for flood damages….When victims of catastrophic flooding would ask for help, I’d drop a dollar or 2 in a bucket or make a donation to the Red Cross. Now, when I see floods (like the one in BR in 2016 or the recent one in Kentucky) I feel physically ill (I hurt) for the victims. I now know what hell they’ll likely have to go through to just get back an inch of their irrational sense of security that they had the day before they were rescued off their roofs. The silver lining to all of this is once you go through & survive (Madison did not) you learn what not to do. If she hadn’t been struck and killed by a car, I doubt she would’ve accepted another a ride home from 4 unknown males, even if they were in a Toyota sedan.

I may have disagreed with mikee, but I still think you're a complete fricking moron who I wouldn't deem qualified to rake leaves.

Let's not get it twisted.

The federal flood insurance program decides your coverage for you, for the most part. Otherwise, I agree. Madison paid Carver nothing for her “ride home,” so I guess she got what she freely bargained for in being dropped off on the side of Burbank. I’m sure if Carver would’ve considered that something awful could’ve happen to Madi by being dropped off where he let her out, he wouldn’t have done it. It must be an awful coincidence that she was hit by that Uber driver, because what those rapists did to her has no logical connection to her unfortunate demise mere moments after they safely released her.

Yeah, I had 12-15 feet of water in my house, too, but I’m not sure how that’s relevant

Maybe it’s an empathy lesson

Oh my God. I think it might be. An empathy lesson might be more fun than what happened to Madi in the back seat of that car. Maybe we should ask her? I bet that cop’s arrest warrant might’ve be more accurate and helpful if he would’ve interviewed the victim before she was removed from life support.

Not as evil as what those 4 young men did to the victim. But thank you for calling me out on being disrespectful to the dead. I can’t imagine what Madi would write or say about what happened to her, but I think she’d make a causal connection to those 4 giving her a ride and her untimely death on Burbank.

No. I don’t know why, but they’ve seemingly taken down their previous social media posts since they were arrested. Maybe some of their previous TicToks might be taken in the wrong way….
