I said earlier these kids film everything. At Rummel last year two boys were expelled and a Chappelle girl expelled for filming a video at home and it leaking. Aplenty it happens every so often. But this time involved 3 or 4 kids.
These kids film everything.

Unpopular opinion here: based on what I know so far, I have not yet been convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that a “crime” was committed.

That said, I’m certainly open to hearing/seeing more facts.

Anal tearing of a drunk girl by a previously charged rapist isn’t enough for you?!?

I get that from a juror standpoint, but in the court of public opinion there's far more proof based on the words of the kids themselves that she was incapacitated.

You're likely not going to change your stance then, at least based on what is already known.

What facts have you looked at?

The girl when asked for her address, slumped over and couldnt speak
She needed to be asked 5 times for consent by 1 guy and an unknown amount by the next guy
Her private areas show signs of sexual assault
Plenty of it was filmed
Driver dropped her off knowing they werent where she lived
Driver said he hated what was happening
She was drunk drunk drunk per the guys in the car
One guy has been outed as possibly raping two other people

Thats just a rough few things to chew on

That all sounds pretty damning to me.

We don’t know that for sure, and the previous charges aren’t likely to be admissible.

Also, baws, let’s discuss “injuries” rather than graphic descriptions of them. We all know what we are discussing.

I just strongly believe in innocent until proven guilty.

-Do we have BAC for defendant(s) yet? (Or indications that they were beyond the legal limit themselves)
-Do videos in the car show anything?
-Was consent given by woman, Albeit beyond BAC ability to give consent?

They may very well be guilty of a crime, but I believe they deserve to be proven guilty and not lynched by the public mob merely because she was pretty and white and female.

Irrelevant. Intoxication isn’t a defense.

We only have one sided accounts of all videos but one.

That’s the whole issue.

I don’t know the legal process at all. But is it realistic to think that the jury will be made up of people who haven’t at least heard of his prior charges?

Even if he’s not convicted of the previous charges (multiple counts btw). Even if they say you can’t use that in this case. It has to still be on everyone’s mind.

Why do you think this matters legally?

All I said is I want to be convinced beyond a reasonable doubt before putting someone away for years and years and years.

I haven’t been…..YET.

I don’t understand your hostility towards that position?

Are there own words good enough for you? There is way more than enough evidence just from statements they've already made. And that's before we even touch on one of them apparently being a serial rapist. (ETA Yes I know this can't be brought up in court without the defense opening the door. But again, we aren't a court)

We aren't a court, it's Ok to skip straight to the end. Or maybe you think those 5 Memphis cops are still innocent too.

If the sole argument is drunk female can’t legally give consent due to her BAC even if video shows verbal consent, neither can drunk male(s).

Interesting. That's an unusual reaction to an emotional case. I'm not saying it is wrong. I am just saying you don't see it a lot.

Most people are polarized on this one. Although I have worked hard to be objective, I am.

Without messing with you, are you the type of person who processes decisions for a long time? Some people are that type. I'm just curious.
