why are we the only species that has to brush their teeth and get dental work
Because we're the only species that intentionally manufactures and consumes food that is harmful to our teeth.

There are some Walmart locations that do colonoscopies too
Just look for the H&R Block sign.

The real superstore here in BR had a dentist in it and he was quite good and liberal with the gas and pain pills.

Well they've got a built in clientele who could use major dental work. I hope they take government benefits.
Will be a strictly Medicaid Mill probably. High Volume. Extensive use of EDDA assistants. Low quality. Only way to make money is shuffle people in and out like cattle. Will also probably have a minimum treatment quota for every patient. Will probably be similar to Aspen Dental, Kool Smiles, etc. Will send their crowns out to dental labs in China for low overhead.

As a dentist I am against it. It not that I think we are superior to optometry or pharmacy, it's just that we deal with medical waste and they don't. Which I feel should not be around the general public and their food supply.
And colonoscopy in a Wal-Mart? I really hope that was a joke

Actually, there will soon be a shortage of dentists. In the 80's, class sizes swelled to over 100+ at LSU leading to a glut of dentists. Since the 90's, the class sizes shrunk to around 50. Most of the dentists who graduated in the 80's are reaching retirement age. That along with the smaller class sizes means the number of dentists retiring will exceed the number of dentists graduating.

In 2010 they were thinking of making it a one stop shop. NPs/PAs (medical/urgent care), Dentists, Eyes, Post Office, Bank, in addition to their regular things.

He closed all his Walmart locations. Not making money and wasn't worth the trouble

They'll be doing gold crowns all day.

I agree, dentists are up there with the chiropractors in the "realest Doctor" category
And can y'all please stop texting me? I'm not gonna come in every 6 months and pay $200 to let your tooth girl scrape me with the Captain Hook thing

imagine the pay percentage will be that of what the average
When they were going to create Wal-Mart Urgent Care Clinics, the employees could see the NP/PA for a flat $5.00. Again, that was their 2010 plan that went nowhere. Guess they saw the abuse and liability that would ensue.

They have eye care, subway, and fingernail care. Might as well have teef care
And don't forget, some have a "salon" as well.

I remember the good ole days when you could go to Circle Grocery on Claiborne and get a teeth cleansing and removal of your gallbladder all in one visit
Good times!

Oh, so you are one of those idiots who only goes when you have an emergency?

Genetics doesn't stop you from building up tartar, which can't. Be brushed off and hold in bacteria that give you tooth and gum disease. And if your gums are bleeding it's probably due to the inflammation in response to the bacteria.
Hygienist have a bachelors, brcc gives out associate degrees.
