They already own the properties/building they are demoing...they tried to demo these building in the past and got denied...
Now they get a free pass to demo and will get what they wanted from the get go and will be able to build something bigger and better and profit......
They(the developers and owners) will come out smelling like roses once this is all said and done...Citadel will pay dearly

I dont think they will come out smelling like roses. Nobody is going to forget the monstrosity on Canal and Rampart or the dead dude's feet hanging off. But they will likely get incredibly rich off the whole fiasco.

it’s disgraceful that the bodies weren’t removed within a week of the incident.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. There was no safe way to remove those bodies, and you don’t risk other lives to remove bodies. This has to be carefully planned.
Another issue is one of liability. Who pays for all of this? Are you destroying evidence as you go in to remove bodies?

There's also the rumor that there are a few more illegal bodies in there

So one of the most culturally rich neighborhoods in America was already getting some stale corporate hotel and now because they fricked it up like 3 more of these hundreds year old buildings had to go down?
Aren’t they also owned by the same developer who now will likely have MORE property to develop?

Location location location.... Once it’s all cleared out, property value will go up.
