well I feel like an easy check is to plot some depression metric for sex workers versus the median of the general population and we can normalize it from there

Confession. 20 years ago I worked with strippers. The dysfunction was unbearable. It kind of skewed my perception of humanity for a short time.

IIRC that is the number is lower now than it used to be but being sexually active doesn't just entail actual sex
