There will be plenty of moisture thanks to Gamma, too. Maybe what dry air is still there can get sucked in.

That's a healthy looking storm that is still getting organized.

Delta is absolutely dominating the upper levels with outflow, shear looks to be low on the approach

Seeing rapid intensification with #Delta. Cat 3 now becoming a very possible solution. The current rate of intensification even suggests something stronger possible

Pretty obvious that we’re gonna have a major hurricane entering the gulf only question is where it makes landfall and how much it weakens before so. It almost certainly WILL weaken but the amount it does is the question.

Anyone suggesting this will certainly NOT be a major at landfall is wishcasting hard. As our resident experts have suggested at, it’d take shear and dry air intrusion to significantly disrupt the storm and fill it.

Can y’all give a “I don’t know shite about weather, but willing to listen” level update about this one?

Yet again, a high pressure ridge will play a major roll on ultimate landfall.

I just made sure my parents had a room booked up here for this 1

Yeah, good news is the turn should happen 24+ hours out though, so no one should be caught off guard with the cone.
